THE LEADERSHIP PROBLEM
Canadians everywhere are concerned about current and future leadership prospects. The country simply cannot afford leadership scarcity: an abundant supply of capable leaders is required in all sectors of the economy and provinces.
However, demographics are working against us. As baby boomers start retiring en masse, the leadership shortage could turn into a crisis which will escalate into an emergency if we don’t start thinking strategically and proactively about this issue. Another compounding factor is that the economy is booming in many provinces creating workforce and leadership vacuums. We need to act quickly and efficiently to groom the next generation of leaders.
